Happy Gay Christmas!

It's that time of year again. At precisely 8pm this evening, the Grand Old Lady of Dame St will play host to 1,200 queers who will join to elect our new Queen Cáilín. That's right, it's the Alternative Miss Ireland.

Welcome to Gay Christmas. And the reason that it is so good is that it's ours. It's a uniquely Irish, wonderfully subversive and fantastic queer culture spectacle which can be summed up as "the gayest four hours of my life."
